BRITTANE ROWE

Like so many little black girls, I started singing in my church choir. That's where I developed my ear, learned how to harmonize and realized I belonged on a stage.  My cousins and I would put on shows for the holidays and I began writing and recording on my tape recording karaoke machine.  I went on to study theatre at Michigan State University earning my BFA in 2011. After a move to NYC, I realized intimate, live spaces is where I flourished. I worked off and off off broadway and joined the acting company at The Flea for 5 years.  I sing background for up and coming artists and help record scratch vocals from my bedroom for songwriters.  I love creating and collaborating with fellow artists and am passionate about telling stories of people of color.
